On the way to the Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga, at a traditional Berber shop our driver/guide will suggest stopping. Berber clothes you can try on and pictures you can take — all without any cost. Things like scarves that are good for the desert or souvenirs you can buy if you want to. But to buy anything if you do not want to you do not have to. Mostly there to show and tell about Berber culture the shop is. If to the shop you do not want to go, just tell the guide and without stopping there we can keep going. Exploring the Merzouga Desert
A great idea starting your day with an early wake-up is. A stunning sunrise from a nearby sand dune you can watch. Once a tasty breakfast at the camp you have had, your exploration of the Merzouga desert will begin. To meet the Berber Nomads who live behind the sand dunes, a special 4x4 SUV will take you. How they live and lots about their unique culture they will show and share. Even a little hidden village called Mefis you will visit, Gnawa music in Khamlia village you will listen to, and the Lake of Birds you will see if it happens to be full. After lunch, to your riad we will head where you can check in and some free time you will have. During this time, if you want to go for a swim or take a walk to the nearby sand dunes you can decide. Later in the evening dinner you will have, and then at your riad the night you will spend. Another night at the desert camp if you would like, you can choose to spend.
Merzouga Desert → Agdez → Marrakech
In your riad following a tasty breakfast, our journey back to the vibrant city of Marrakech we will start. Through the Draa Valley — known as Morocco's longest valley — our route this time will take us. In Agdez during this drive, a stop we will make to enjoy a panoramic view of this valley that is full of palm trees. In Ouarzazate on our way, the opportunity to stop for a satisfying lunch we will have. Through the majestic High Atlas Mountains again as we make our way back to Marrakech our path will then lead us. At your accommodation you will be dropped off, and that marks the end of this 4 days Marrakech to Merzouga desert tour.
