Tangier → Tetouan → Chefchaouen
Your driver meets you at the port or airport of Tangier holding a sign with our agency name, and the journey begins toward Chefchaouen. Originally founded as a secret stronghold from which to launch attacks on the Portuguese settlers along the coast, the town remained closed to Europeans until Spanish troops arrived in 1920. Located within a protected biosphere reserve, Chefchaouen is a sacred mountain town with white and blue painted streets, gentle and welcoming locals, beautiful hillside panoramas, and a sense of peace that is rare to find today. On arrival, check into your riad in the medina and enjoy a free afternoon.
Chefchaouen → Volubilis → Meknes → Fes
After breakfast, spend some free time exploring Chefchaouen's small blue medina, surrounded by the Rif Mountains, wandering through its winding streets and entering through any of its five gates as you take in the colours, scents, and sounds of this unique town. The route then continues toward Fes via the Mamora Forest, with a detour about 27km from Meknes (including a stop in its central square) to visit the ruins of the Roman city of Volubilis. You will have time to walk among the impressive archaeological remains of this ancient site before arriving in Fes, where you will have dinner and stay overnight at a hotel.
Full Day Guided Tour of Fes
After breakfast, begin your tour of Fes — the first of Morocco's imperial cities, dating back to the 8th century and one of the earliest centres of Islamic scholarship, home to one of the oldest universities in the world. Entering the medina feels like stepping back in time: the medieval guild structure is still visible in daily life, the narrow streets allow only donkeys for transport, and a constant flow of people moves through the maze-like alleyways past Andalusian quarters, magnificent mosques, and ancient Quranic schools. Fes has always been associated with scholarship and faith and remains Morocco's spiritual capital. After the medina, you can also wander through Fes Jdid, home to the Royal Palace, the Jewish Mellah, and the oldest mosque in Fes.
Ifrane → Azrou → Midelt → Errachidia → Ziz Valley → Erfoud → Merzouga
After breakfast, set off toward Midelt through the mountains and cedar forests of the Middle Atlas. You pass through Ifrane, a charming ski resort town, and Azrou, an important centre for traditional cedar woodwork. After crossing the Zad Pass at 2,178 metres, you arrive in Midelt for lunch. In the afternoon, the route descends toward Erfoud and Errachidia through the palm-dotted Ziz Valley before continuing to the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. As the sun begins to set, you mount a camel and ride into the desert, arriving at a tented camp among the high dunes where you will spend the night under the stars of the Sahara.
Merzouga → Khamlia → Rissani → Todra Gorge → Dades Gorge
For those who wake before dawn, climbing a nearby dune offers an unforgettable view of the sunrise over the desert. After returning to the camp by camel for a shower and breakfast, the day continues with a visit to Khamlia, a village founded by people originally from Mali, where you can relax with a cup of tea while enjoying a small Gnawa music performance. From there you head to Rissani, home to one of the largest traditional markets in the region, where locals and nomads come to trade goods and livestock. The route continues through scattered dunes, palm trees, and small oases until reaching Tinerhir, the lushest oasis in the south, gateway to the Todra Gorge. From here you continue to the equally spectacular Dades Gorge, known for its unusual rock formations, where you will spend the night.

Continuing along the Road of the Kasbahs, you cross the Valley of the Roses to reach Skoura, where you can wander through its labyrinthine palm grove hiding numerous kasbahs and visit the Kasbah of Amerhidil. In Ouarzazate you can view or visit the Kasbah of Taourirt and, for film enthusiasts, the studios where many famous movies have been shot. From here a detour leads to Ait Ben Haddou, one of the largest and best-preserved kasbahs in the south, made famous by films such as Gladiator. You can walk through its streets and climb to the top for beautiful views over the valley. The journey continues toward Marrakech across the High Atlas Mountains, on a road best driven slowly to enjoy the scenery, crossing a mountain pass at nearly 2,300 metres. On arrival in Marrakech, enjoy the magic of Jemaa el-Fnaa square in the evening.

After breakfast, enjoy a free day discovering the most important sights of Marrakech, the city famous for its Jemaa el-Fnaa square — an unmatched blend of aromas, sounds, and sensations that will occupy much of your time. The city also offers countless places to explore and enjoy: the Majorelle Gardens, the Menara Gardens, the Saadian Tombs, walks through the medina or the Mellah (the old Jewish quarter), the historic city walls, and the modern district of Gueliz with its Western-style lifestyle. You stay overnight in a riad in the medina near Jemaa el-Fnaa square, allowing you to explore the city easily on foot.
Marrakech → Airport Departure
After breakfast, enjoy free time to continue exploring the city. Depending on your flight schedule, you will be transferred to Marrakech Airport, bringing to a close this unforgettable 8-day journey through the north, south, and centre of Morocco.
